We bid farewell with respect to our company founder, Sándor Czigler

Our company founder, Mr Sándor Czigler, was born on November 28, 1939, in Győr, into a family of six children.

He graduated from a technical school specializing in electrical engineering and began his career as a household appliance repairman. Through hard work, he became a service manager and reached the top of the professional ladder in this field. Fifteen years before his retirement, he took a new direction in his career and became a technical purchaser.

After the change of regime (of 1989), he sought opportunities to start his own family business. Together with his family, he established the predecessor of Rábalux, "5C" Bt, to distribute the products of a Finnish lighting manufacturer in Hungary, thus taking the first steps towards creating the Rábalux Group as we know it today. Within the company, he primarily found his place in the areas of purchasing and production. He worked actively until the age of 70, then handed over the reins to his children – while continuing to monitor and follow the developments of the group with interest.

For him, it was not only business that was important, but also human relationships. He had a kind word and a smile for everyone. He left behind a moral code that became the foundation for the internal operations of the Rábalux Group and its long-term partnerships.

We bid him farewell – we cherish his memory with gratitude and respect. We thank him for his irreplaceable role in founding and operating Rábalux.
